Snickerd00dle's summer game challenge

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I would guess that it took me about eight hours. Maybe ten at the most. I explored most, if not all, of the castle too.

Alright, so I began playing Castlevania today, and so far I am very impressed. Great graphics, great music, and most of all- great dialogue- I was laughing hysterically when Dracula says, " Have at you!" Another thing that was really cool was after Dracula transforms(in the prefix to the game) the whole backround just drops away square by square which I thought was very cool and trippy- I only played to the first save point, but so far, it has been fun!

I had watched a friend trying to get the achievement on live for no damage during that first fight. That dialog had me cracking up. "You steal mens souls!"

"And make them your slaves!"

I always thought that Richter sounded considerably worse than Dracula.

Might I make a suggestion? Follow Symphony of the Night up with Ico. Both are excellent games, but Ico is extremely short and could be knocked out in a couple of days at most. It will make a nice palette cleanser after SotN.

While I don't have a list of games I wish to beat, there are a few I've been focusing on lately:

Breath of Fire
The Simpsons: Hit & Run
Saints Row 2

And I've been thinking about trying out No One Lives Forever, along with a couple more FPS.

I was playing the Japanese Saturn version to compare the two last night, and I have to say that Richter doesn't sound as weak in that version... even though I had no idea what he was saying. I just assume that it was the same, or similar, dialog.

I'm already playing through a gaming marathon of pretty epic proportions, but I'll post how thats going in this thread too, as it contains a fair few games I've been wanting to beat. I have 22 games left on it though, so it's quite a long list.

1. Chuchu Rocket (DC)
2. F Zero GX (GC)
3. Geometry Wars Galaxies (Wii)
4. Super Hang-On (MD)
5. Ico (PS2)
6. Jet Set Radio (DC)
7. Kuru Kuru Kururin (GBA)
8. Little King's Story (Wii)
9. Muramasa (Wii)
10. NiGHTs (Saturn)
11. Okami (Wii)
12. Pokémon Stadium (N64)
13. Quarth (GB)
14. Red Steel (Wii) ¬_¬
15. Shadow of the Colossus (PS2)
16. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (NES) ¬_¬
17. Unirally (SNES)
18. Viewtiful Joe (GC)
19. Wario Land: Shake Dimension (Wii)
----I still need a game for X. Any recommendations? Xenosaga 1, xenogears and xexyz never made it to europe----
20. Yoshi's Island DS (DS)
21. Zelda: Master Quest (GC)

That should keep me occupied!
