You can do that with anything!

Now that this topic is cooling off, I'll want to make a quick remark about the whole unrealism of FPS games. Most often it feels like controlling a floating camera with severed limbs attached to the frontal frame. If you're lucky the developer will be more considerate and adds a silhouette and legs, but still the feeling remains that the character's face and arms are inseparably glued for good.

I wouldn't mind them building on Tresspasser, maybe come up with an entirely new control scheme that will put those MW2 twats and their bogus claims of realism to utter and irredeemable shame.

mirror's edge did an excellent job of making a true first person camera. You see hands, legs, everything.

True, but when you wielded anything in your hands it went to back to plain fps mode.

But who actually used weapons in that game?

Anyway:
10.
9.
8.
7.
6.
5. Halo 3
4. Time Splitters 2
3. Goldeneye
2. Bioshock
1. Halo: Combat Evolved

These are the only ones I even remotely like. Halo 1 prob isn't even in my top 10 general games list.

I'm going to guess from that list you haven't played any PC FPS games? You should really try some of them out, because no matter what they tell you, the genre still is better on the PC, and some of it's best games are PC exclusive

Let's make a serious best FPS list because this thread is making me cry a little...
1) Duke Nukem (1 2 and 3D) The first 2 were in 2D but were oh so fun to play.
2)Half Life (all of them). This game is THE MODERN FPS
3)Counter Strike (1.6 and Source)
4) Doom 2
5)Rise of The Triads anyone? Fond memories of this.
5) Wolfenstein 3D
6)Unreal Tournament (first one changed how we played fps')

The numbers don't really mean anything cos they're all number 1

I remember trying it and it was fun. But it never hit me like the first three.
