Even though I haven't played all that many FPS games yet, I still have enough to list a Top 10.

I'm just going to say that I don't agree with your list at ALL. Especially Doom 3 being ranked so highly and the original Doom not even making an appearance. Plus I find your lack of TimeSplitters disturbing.

from the looks of things... he's only played console FPS games. From the last gen, Goldeneye being the only exception.

I noticed this after you pointed it out... if this is the case then load up Perfect Dark and you should have a new game entering your top 10

Hmm...I would definitely suggest branching out to other consoles. Consider the other FPS of the Nintendo 64 for instance. GoldenEye 007 is excellent, but games like Perfect Dark and Turok 2 are definitely worth checking out, and I absolutely love Hexen on the N64, especially the split-screen multiplayer.

Also, if you really enjoy FPS, I'd definitely suggest you get a PC that's capable of running games from the last...fifteen years or so. Heck, pick any Windows OS and you'll have access to a bounty of games, be it the likes of Quake, Duke Nukem 3D, Rise of the Triads, Blood, Half-Life, Postal 2, Unreal Tournament, Aliens Vs. Predator 2, Call of Duty, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, UT2k4, Battlefield 2142, Serious Sam, Painkiller, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Wolfenstein, and so on.
