I take umbrage at your false accusations. I mentioned Call of Pripyat on page 2.

What about Perfect Dark? Besides Golden Eye it was the second best FPS on the N64.
Thanks everyone...

So you agree that Final fantasy inspired an made the jrpg genre. But did not inspire any other rpgs that aren't jrpgs.

Well Wolfenstein was not the first fps. But it layed the foundation and for its time was very complex. Something has always come before the other, nothing is completely original. Before Wolfenstein the mold and shape of the fps wasn't there.

Shit isn't black and white.

(Quick no one point out what color it is)
( shit is genre indentification)

Also see how annoying this is?

Deus Ex is the greatest FPS ever. No exceptions.

funny

cause people usually divide fps games to Doom and Half Life categories.
Well, then it needs three categories, Doom, Half Life, and Halo (Because consoles are important too)
Systems: Atari 7800, NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, Saturn, Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, Game Boy Pocket (2), Game Boy Color, GBA SP (2), DS

Half life is more doom than halo.
Of course it is more zelda than doom... hmmm

Edit: Though seriously, how many weapons can you have in your inventory at a time in doom? and how many is half life? and how many in almost any console fps(of the last 10 years)

I used to love FPSs, but haven't played one in quite a long time. I'll take a shot, though.

1.) Half-Life (PC)
2.) Deus Ex (PC)
3.) Unreal Tournament (PC)
4.) Resistance: Fall of Man (PS3)
5.) Duke Nukem 3D (PC)
6.) TimeSplitters 2 (PS2)
7.) Doom (PC)
8.) Rise of the Triad (PC)
9.) Medal of Honor (PS1)
10.) Perfect Dark (N64)
