...so it's okay for an adult to watch tv all day or watch movies all day, but it's not okay for an adult to play games all day?

Really, why do you care? As long as he isn't doing anything illegal that person can do whatever he pleases.

I always thought the "Don't do Drugs" screen on all the arcade machines in the 90's was annoying. Every time I saw that screen I thought ok ok I'm not doing drugs you Dbag now start my freaking game.

This is a breath of fresh air--an article that makes a reasonable speculation that video games cause crime to drop.

...and why isn't it? So long as an adult fulfills his responsibilities to his work and family I see absolutely no reason why he should be criticized for doing what he wishes in his spare time.kingmohd84 wrote:thats not ok eitherAppleQueso wrote:...so it's okay for an adult to watch tv all day or watch movies all day, but it's not okay for an adult to play games all day?
If he's not allowed to entertain himself in his free time, what is he "allowed" to do?

this is a rather narrow-minded point-of-viewkingmohd84 wrote: But if you are dedicated to them and you do it on daily basis, somethings seems wrong. When you are kid , your supposed to play around.

OK, seriously, I don't see the big deal about violence or rape or whatever in videogames. If it entertains you, it has done its job.
What should be done is for all the ESRB ratings to be moved up (former A&O games would get an M rating, former M games would get a T rating, etc.) and then parents actually pay attention to the ratings.
Problem solved.

if you are an adult and you fulfilled your responsibilities to work and family, how much time is left with you each day?
