Cheap 360 Repair Service?

Post by lisalover1 »

I recently got a broken launch 360 from one of my friends, since my first one got banned from Xbox Live [I was an idiot to hack it in the first place :( ], and I've been trying to find a shop that will repair it, and not charge an arm and a leg for the service. I haven't found a place yet that will do it for under $140. Does anybody know any good and relatively cheap repair service in Michigan for broken 360s? Or, can someone vouch for a legitimate online repair service?

You could always buy a refurbished 360 on ebay.

My 360 is really busted now; I just tried turning it on one more time, and now it doesn't even power on anymore! It used to just be 2 red rings.

There's a place in Taylor, MI that will do it for $40. Let me know if you are interested in directions.

Sorry, Taylor is all the way on the other side of the state; it's about a 3-hour drive from where I live. Thank you, anyway, though... Unless the shop accepts repairs on systems mailed to them, that is.

Make sure that if you are paying for a fix that it's done with a full reflow with a BGA workstation. Anything else isn't worth paying for. You're just paying for a couple of pence worth of parts and half an hour labour.

If you want to do it yourself, this is how i fixed mine. It's been working perfect since then, haven't had a single issue with it.
