Plus, 25 seconds into THIS VIDEO.

I love that arcade.

That guy is a douche, thanks for the work warning.

SFA3 suffers "Overbloated Character Roster With A Huge Gulf between the Strongest and the Weakest" syndrome. It's not as bad as MvC2, but nothing is as bad as MvC2.

That said, I still enjoy SFA3. It's just not as technically sound as SFA2Gold.
But it has the best iteration of Cammy, Killer Bee Cammy. That makes it auto-win.

I love Alpha 3. More than Alpha 2. Since I'm not a tournament player, the huge gulf between characters makes little difference to me.

Thing I love most about Alpha 3 is the 2-on-1 Boss Rush mode. It's the ONLY way I can get friends to play with me, because they don't play fighting games enough to be able to have fun fighting me.

I have friends who are worse than me, but then I just pick characters randomly to fight them while they choose, say, Ryu. They are okay with fighting me when I'm low tier (see? The benefits of unbalancing).

I've tried that. Doesn't work. Nothing is quite as discouraging as being beat by Dan while playing as Sagat.

Also, this isn't a problem that is solved by having unbalanced characters. There's no bigger turn off to me than having one of your favorite characters be nearly useless - it's one of the reasons I hated SF4, but am starting to warm up to SSF4. No, you solve this by having all the characters roughly equal, but having good handicap systems.

I've always wondered why fighting games haven't implemented an AI-monitored handicap system. Make it where the AI watches the fight, and after the fight is over, assesses the winner and the loser to give them appropriate handicaps. Then does it again after the next fight. Continues to do it until eventually, it hits a sweet spot where the winner and loser are on even terms.
