It could one or more of these factors or some other one: not enough return on the investment, not enough demand, too costly from a design/test viewpoint, etc. GB/GBC is old hardware/technology and it's not easy to support. I forget many details on stuff I developed 5 years ago, let alone 10-15 years ago like GB/GBC.

In the previous generation, the gamecube wasn't top selling so they probably brought out the player as another angle to increase console/hardware sales. For this generation, the Wii/DS are on the top of the heap.

It would be fitting if they were to come out with a Wii DS Player. The wiimote could function like the stylus.

Agree not profitable for a GBA or even a DSI peripheral for the Wii.

DS on Wii will come out as individual game money grabbing rental purchased downloads.

well the main thing is all they had to do was add the same port on the bottom of the cube to accomodate the GBA player that already exists. I mean, the bottom of the Wii has an expansion port, just not the same one. Shrug.
