I was only poking fun with you SpaceBooger because you said you were a teacher but didn't want to share your views on homeschooling. Your joke reminded me of the little girl in "Kick Ass" she got a Masters Degree in that stuff.
The only thing that bugs me is when people without kids or parenting experience start going on about the right/wrong parenting choices as if it is so easily predetermined. It might be easy to have a stance on parenting until you actually have to do it. When the things you thought were right don't work then you have to adapt and adjust.
My oldest son also has severe ADHD that has a significant impact on his interactions with other kids his own age and teachers. When he comes home 4 days a week from the principals office and no punishment makes a change in that behavior then I can't let him become illiterate to teach him a lesson. Never mind all the other kids who are having their education disrupted by the constant focus on his behavior.
