I appreciate all types of music from Meshuggah to T'Pau, from Protest The Hero to Duran Duran. Don't stick to one genre all your life, there's so much music out there to enjoy.
Michel (pronounced, Meee-shell) Gondry's video for Star Guitar by The Chemical Brothers is definitely my favourite of his.
Edit: that video is out of sync and crappy audio quality.
better audio quality but still slightly out of sync. (watch the telegraph poles and signal boxes)

While I mainly listen to Heavy Metal, I do occasionally listen to other genres of music. I don't go seeking out new bands of say, Trance, but when I hear Trance, I (usually) like it. Mostly I get word of good bands of other types of music from soundtracks (Go Sato/Chris Huelsbeck) or random videos (BassHunter). I was just making a joke that Heavy Metal music videos suck. I've never, ever seen a good one.Niode wrote:Don't stick to one genre all your life, there's so much music out there to enjoy.

If you're into heavy metal, listen to this:

Their new CD kicks so much ass.

Meh, over processed triggered drums, over processed - overly gated guitars. Fear Factory suck now.Beak wrote:If you're into heavy metal, listen to this:

Tried to see them twice and both times they fucking cancelled last minute, causing me to take my tickets back to the vendor and then them not refunded the fucking booking fee because 'they don't do that'. So It's cost me £40 to not see Fear Factory now. Seriously, fuck that piece of shit fucking band.

I'm seriously annoyed about the amount of times they keep cancelling. They've cancelled at two festivals I've been to as well, so all in all it's 4 times that they have done this, either they suck at getting their shit together, or they hate the UK or something. If they're booked to appear at a festival I'm going to, fair enough, I'll see them, IF they show up. I won't go out of my way for them any more though.GSZX1337 wrote:Not really into Fear Factory. Kinda looks like a cross between Halo and Virtual On. Especially with that slide mechanic. Having a third person shooter that is as controllable as virtual on is instant win in my book. I'm a bit sick of 'run to cover, pop out shoot for a bit 'til things that are moving don't move any more. repeat ad infinitum' games. They're just boring.
