Ok, I'm not always wowed by realistic graphics, but... WOW!

This new game Vanquish that is being released by Sega and Platinum Games looks phenomenal. It is the latest project by Shinji Mikami, who is famous as the creator for Resident Evil. Check it out (it looks especially nice if you change up to an HD level):

With the obvious parallels to 9/11 attacks it could also potentially have an interesting storyline that says something about terrorism and how we respond to it, but that might be expecting too much.

Target render + filmed footage of the action scene at the end.

The armour suit building bit reminded me of the wonderful Bjork video by Chris Cunningham for All Is Full of Love.

*Sigh* Looks cool. But unfortunately, it also looks like another Halo clone.

I'm pretty sure there was no actual gameplay footage in that trailer

Awesome reference.

Chris Cunningham has made some of the most memorable videos I have ever viewed.

You should also check out Michel Gondry's videos for Bjork, just as awesome. I particularly love Army of Me mega surreal. Then again I have a total hard on for Bjork, so I may be biased.

I don't think there is a single Chris Cunningham video I don't love though. They're all amazing. You should also check out Rubber Johnny if you haven't already, It's an Aphex Twin collaboration. It's just total WTF.

I've actually followed RDJames since 1997. I'm not snarky but when someone asks about Aphex Twin, I usually say "Chris Cunningham has made videos for him". That usually astounds people.

God I love Bjork haha, she's such an interesting artist as well as an interesting person. Another video of hers that I love and I believe was directed by Spike Jones, is It's Oh So Quiet.

Michel Gondry has the most imaginative music videos from a creative standpoint.

Chris Cunningham's videos have the best art direction and are more cutting-edge (at least they used to be, don't know about any of his work now - does he still make videos?).

And yes, Bjork is great and probably has the best collection of videos that I've seen.

I have the Spike Jonze DVD with his music videos. I have the Bjork music video collection. And I was have a lot of Chris Cunningham's videos through various sources, though I haven't bought his DVD from the same series that the Spike Jonze one is from.

You guys are in good company. 8)
