Actually, three main comic book villains appear in The Dark Knight: Joker, Two-Face, and Scarecrow. Ra's Al Ghul and Scarecrow might have been the two comic book villains you noticed in Batman Begins, but there actually was a third: Victor Zsasz, though his backstory and last name were tweaked for the film.
In Batman Begins, he's a killer for the mob, and his name is spelled Zsaz. He's one of the inmates who escapes during Scarecrow's release, and he is mentioned in The Dark Knight, but only because his character hasn't been captured yet.
In the comic books, Zsasz is a serial killer with a tendency to slash a tally mark on himself to track his victims. He sees life as meaningless and humans as pathetic zombies, and he feels he's freeing them by butchering and murdering them. In one Batman story arc written by Kevin Smith, Batman admits that of all his enemies, he hates Zsasz the most. He's also been depicted as a skinhead in at least one arc, though that was more a visual choice than a character background. He's also appeared in several video games, including Luke's most hated Batman: Dark Tomorrow.
As for Iron Man, if it's half as good as the first film, it'll still be great. They've already tied it in with the Edward Norton Hulk film, thanks to Nick Fury. Of all of the Avengers, I'm anticipating Captain America the most. He's my favorite of the team. Hell, he's one of my favorite Marvel characters.
According to the first few reviews, Iron Man 2 is lame

I don't remember a reference to Zsaz in The Dark Knight. . .
Anyway, check out the main page of imdb. They've got a clip of Iron man's fight with whiplash. If the movie includes another 30 seconds of action like that, it'll be worth it.
I am not entirely thrilled with the plans of combining all these separate movies into an Avengers movie. An avengers movie on its own would be cool if it could stand alone, but I'm concerned about it weakening the separate franchises. . . Iron Man mostly. The first was great and I'm anticipating the second to be great too, but I'd rather see an Iron Man 3 before an Avengers movie. I can even see Captain America and the Hulk showing up. . . but Thor just doesn't fit in there. Yes, I know he was originally part of the avengers, but this isn't a comic or a straight conversion of source material, it's an adaptation. Jon favreau did a great job giving Iron Man an michael crichtonesque realism, which is why villains like The Mandarin haven't shown up. They're going to take that realism and combine it with a Norse God. It's like having a magical dragon show up in the middle of Jurassic Park 3 (although they probably couldn't have made JP3 any worse).

It's just a background note, I think his name is said once when they mention that many of the Blackgate prisoners have been recaptured.
And as for the Avengers...I'll just be happy to see Cap smacking around a Nazi-suited Red Skull. You know you all want it.

In other news, I was just checking out early rotten tomatoes scores for the movie and misread a headline that said "Roger Ebert Releases Sex Pistols Screenplay" as "Roger Ebert Releases Sex Tape".
dear god. . .

You know I missed the Zsasz mention. Gonna have to re-watch that movie againAck wrote:It's just a background note, I think his name is said once when they mention that many of the Blackgate prisoners have been recaptured.

There was a GREAT sequence in the Batman:Arkham Asylum video game involving both Zsasz and the Joker. They did a surprisingly good job juggling various members of Batman's rogues gallery and using them effectively in that game(except for that lame Croc fight)
Getting off topic now...I'll stop

There was already an Avengers movie. I caught it on the Weather Channel last weekend strangely enough.
