It looks to me like they're saying that the 200th episode is the first part of the story, which is to be completed in the following episode. That does not mean that the second part is also considered to be the 200th episode-- just the the 200th is the beginning of the story. I don't see how one can use this phrase to infer that the two episodes count as only one.
Amusingly, this is just like the argument in South Park over the number of original Star Trek episodes that revolved around how many episodes a two-parter counts as.

Heh. I did not know there was such an episode of South Park. I am familiar with the argument over the number of original Star Trek episodes, though. I had actually thought about mentioning it, but didn't.

Glad I'm not the only person who got that.

And as for The Daily Show debate, I too watched it in the days of Craig. Of his work, I miss his 5 Questions the most, especially the short two second clip from The Legend of Rikki whenever he did it. I felt his talk show was pretty bad though.

don't watch TV; but do watch South Park (downloads it)

I must say, that I'm pretty amazed how they bleeped out Mohammad's name *and* censored his image

then again, after what the Danes did, it's not that much of a wonder

it'd be the third time that Mohammad appears on the show, if I'm not mistaken
and yes. I remember *seeing* him in his first appearance (the second being "imagination-land", the 3-part episode(s))

I'll somewhat agree that South Park is going the same way as Simpsons, but on the other hand there's been some good episodes this past season

this latest was just too much of a rehash of familiar themes, that it seemed as a far stretch for being a 200th episode (201th?)

they could've done a hell of a lot better than this; but then again... I remember when they aired "not without my anus", instead of the conclusion to whom Cartman's dad really was, back in the days

then again... I remember "Jesus vs. Santa" on the interwebs, before South Park was established

...

and I'll add this;
in contrast to the Simpsons, which becomes more and more "politically correct"; South Park is striving to become more and more "extreme"

it's just hard to be "extreme", once you've done most of it

and to censor Mohammad's *name* (bleeped) was just....
I'm hoping it wasn't Matt's and Trey's decision

don't get me wrong, I don't want to hassle one religion more than the other, but if you're going to do something, do it right

they pussied out last time (understandable); but I imagined as they bleeped out the name of Mohammad, they'd might as well show him?

I don't know, considering they bleeped out his name, and then censored him, and then made the plot revolve around how they had to censor him, and then bleeped out the entire ending lesson...I felt they were making fun of having to censor him, not pussying out about it.

It's like the episode where they counted how many times they got away with saying "shit".

CC censored it, but Matt and Trey did in fact puss out.

At first, I thought M&T were the ones who censored it, giving CC the finger (the middle), but that wasn't the case. They should have just pulled the episode if they wanted to do that.

Anywho, I still enjoyed the story, and isn't it nuts that the original Tennerman episode aired 9 years ago?

"Jeez, what a little crybaby." "You gonna cry all day, crybaby?" "You know, everyone has problems. Doesn't mean you have to be a little crybaby about it." "Come on, guys, let's go. This kid is totally not cool." "Yeah, that's the most uncool kid I've ever met." "Little crybaby!"

Comedy Central censored the name, and apparently the speeches at the end, which I thought were jokes. I'm guessing comedy central tried to make it look like it was meant to be that way, and it was pretty funny. But now that I know it was comedy central who were bleeping it out in response to some muslim extremists I'm pretty pissed. John Stewart did a rant about it on his show the other day which I agreed completely with. He called out this group who are operating out of New York, enjoying America's freedom of speech, while issuing threats to AMERICANS because we're using our freedom of speech to make fun of muhummad.

These hypocrites need to GET THE FUCK OUT OF THIS COUNTRY.
