Being either tied up or stuffed in a box or other small space so that my arms are pinned and I don't have enough room to take a sufficient breath. Then, slowly suffocating while I take only the most shallow of breaths and struggle and fail to free myself.

Being completely defenseless against an attacker who tied you down. I always have a hard time watching this on TV shows/movies, because I just think about what I would do if I was in that situation and it always is nothing.

I think drowning would be cool to die. I've heard that it feels cool when the water fills your lungs.

I've had nightmares about falling into places like the Grand Canyon. So yeah, death by falling would suck for me. You see that in movies and tv shows a lot. Some crazy guy decides to kill someone and pushes that person out of a window or something. Like what happened to John Locke on Lost

You must not be a fan of platform games then.
LOL

I'm a huge fan actually, but I've never experienced any of my fears manifest themselves when I'm gaming. I guess most games just aren't immersive enough to make me forget I'm playing a game. I have arachnaphobia yet have no trouble slaughtering mutated giant spiders in a video game without freaking out

Worst ways I can think of:

Being an astronaut (while the floating towards the sun thing was pretty bad) running out of air. I'd assume you'd have gauges and warnings flaring off, and there is no air for you for miles (literally).

Still, I did hear this case from my mom (a nurse), wherein a guy did survive a gunshot to the head, but died because it blew his adrenal glands out of whack. Kept breathing faster and faster until he hyperventilated.

On that note of surviving a head injury: http://kotaku.com/5499061/accused-game- ... d-survives

At a LAN/NET arcade, a PO'd counter strike player stabbed another kid in the head with a rusty knife after he found out he was cheating, and he survived :S

In addition to the astronaut suffocation, you can't even touch your face as you suffocate :S In movies, they always grab their throat when they suffocate, as if trying to choke themselves... paradox, no?

In a lighter note, I remember WAY back in highschool, chubby underclass men I knew winked at a jock's girlfriend, and she giggled. Jock wasn't to happy, and pinned the kid against the lcokers and said:

"I'm gonna kill you!", he then replied

"Not if I kill myself first!" and started to hold his breath. Man, the jock laughed so hard and like walked away with his girlfriend.

Being tortured to death would be the worst obviously.

Have you ever read American Psycho? Some nasty shit with nail guns and habit trails.

Then starvation.

Then burned to death.

Oh dude, you just reminded me :S I was trying to think outside of the torture areas, but since you brought it up...

I saw on the History Channel that King Henry's favorite method of excution and torture was called "The Saw". They would hang the victim upside-down by the ankles, and would cut him in half with a blunt saw, starting at the groin going to the head. The worst part about it was that by hanging you upside-down, you stay awake because of the blood rushing to your head, and don't die until the saw eith gets your heart, or your brain.

And this is why some peoples came to their senses and murdered the aristocracy in their nations.

It is too bad they used something relatively quick like the guillotine though.
