Why the hell does Gamestop use stickers on their games?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Well, it beats them writing over the boxes with permanent markers like a lot of kids did in the 80's & 90's.

Also PNT puts that stupid big ass sticker to "reseal" used games.

I put my initials on my PS1 memory cards.
Nothing sucked more than going to a mates place and leaving your memory card there and taking their one back with you.

Here is one from that link, what one member did, same result if you use Liftoff 2 both at Home depot.

Gamestop puts stickers on their games? Huh? This is gotta be the first time I've heard a complaint about that...

One of my favorite used game shops back home first put numbers on all the discs and carts for inventory when they first started out. Thankfully they have stopped that nonsense but every now and then, you run into a game with those damn numbers in sharpie.

Also, stickers are one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to anything. Games, CD's, DVD's, etc. Every, single Judas Priest CD has a sticker on it under the wrapping, nearly every game I buy has at least two stickers on it now. One very small reason I avoid Gamestop is because of the liberal use of stickers. I don't know why but it bothers the crap out of me. I feel like it really cheapens whatever it is on. I'm very ready for some sort of new way to keep track of inventory.
