Why the hell does Gamestop use stickers on their games?
Re: Why the hell does Gamestop use stickers on there games?
Well, it beats them writing over the boxes with permanent markers like a lot of kids did in the 80's & 90's.

Also PNT puts that stupid big ass sticker to "reseal" used games.Unleaded Logic wrote:For some reason I think Play N Trade's stickers are much worse then Gamestop's labels. I don't even bother to try to take the label off if its on the front of the game at PNT.

Nothing sucked more than going to a mates place and leaving your memory card there and taking their one back with you.

Couple pages of Sticker Rants, Gamestop sticker policy change.

One of my favorite used game shops back home first put numbers on all the discs and carts for inventory when they first started out. Thankfully they have stopped that nonsense but every now and then, you run into a game with those damn numbers in sharpie.Luke wrote:Well, it beats them writing over the boxes with permanent markers like a lot of kids did in the 80's & 90's.
Also, stickers are one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to anything. Games, CD's, DVD's, etc. Every, single Judas Priest CD has a sticker on it under the wrapping, nearly every game I buy has at least two stickers on it now. One very small reason I avoid Gamestop is because of the liberal use of stickers. I don't know why but it bothers the crap out of me. I feel like it really cheapens whatever it is on. I'm very ready for some sort of new way to keep track of inventory.
