Mustard gas
Bi-planes
Tanks that run on train tracks
Calvary mounted on horses armed with both a lance and a sub-machine gun while wearing a gas mask
Trench warfare
This picture says it all...

I want to game with that dude.

The solution would be to play as the Americans, or the Germans in 1914. Neither of those spent all of their time in the trenches. And a plus to this would be that, in WW1, the Germans aren't the ultimate evil side like in WW2, so it would be okay to make a single player game where you played as a German.emwearz wrote:A world war 1 shooter would just be hours of sitting in a trench putting your head up, shooting, repeat.
In all honesty though you think that it wouldn't be the right style of warfare for a game, slow and not fast moving , other than no mans land, I mean how many different levels could you pump out on the basis of trench warfare.

I bought this and beat the single player but it is a tower defense game. Cool ass game though.jfe2 wrote:Toy Soldiers on XBLA is more of a strategy game, but it is set in WWI. I had a lot of fun with it, and would really recommend it to anyone interested in WWI.
Thats the one. Looks like it could be good. I remember seeing it just after I got a new pc but with Medal of Honor Allied Assault and Return to Castle Wofenstien I already had my hands full. Its called Ironstorm

Decent singleplayer, never played the multiplayer.
