Re: Sega Saturn Mission Stick - Should I?
And it's too late for me to delete this, but it was a double-post. That's okay, I'll try and make it useful!
Uh... Stellar Assault on the Sega Saturn... I've been looking into it lately -- I'd never be able to buy an actual copy of it because it's like, $150, but my Saturn's modded so I figured I'd give it a go. Anyone given it a shot? Thoughts?

Re: Sega Saturn Mission Stick - Should I?
I just won an eBay auction for a Mission Stick for $23 shipped. It has the box but no instructions. If you do purchase it, which I recommend you do, can you scan the manual? I'll check the archive threads and pm you if I can't find one that already exists.

Found this on GameFAQ, seems like quite a few games support it.

Get it and then get Night Striker S. $15 for a boxed mission stick is a steal.

You wanna know something cool?

Right hand or Southpaws allowed.
Dude, ya better buy both.
Be wild if Virtua On would work.

Apparently the person in the FAQ I linked above had the same notion, and here's the summary
"IMPORTANT NOTE!!
TWO MISSION STICKS DOES NOT A TWIN STICK MAKE!!"

Any mod is possible, you just have to know how. Took away your laugh.zerexerez wrote:Apparently the person in the FAQ I linked above had the same notion, and here's the summary

Re: Sega Saturn Mission Stick - Should I?
You actually can connect the stick part of a second mission stick to the button panel of another mission stick, thereby forging your own "twin mission stick". It's not the same as the actual twin sticks used for virtual on, and as far as I know, Panzer Dragoon 2 is the only game that utilized it (one stick moves the dragon, one moves the reticle). But the novelty is unbeatable.
Also, I rant all the time about how people pay too much for Saturn stuff that's dirt cheap in Japan, and indeed my mission sticks were like 3 bucks each, but when you factor in shipping, 15 bucks really is a steal.
You can't use the Mission Stick for Bulk Slash, but it is good for those Yu Suzuki games like Afterburner 2, and apparently Wing Arms is pretty good. I've been looking into Stellar Assault myself, but it's 100 bucks at the local store even though they'll NEVER SELL IT.

So did you get the stick(s)?!? I'm going to pick mine up from the post office on Tuesday. The seller took over a week to ship it. I cant wait to play Panzer Dragoon with it.

You know I'm still kicking myself because I have not gotten the sticks. But I did pick up two DC Keyboards does that count?Jerkface Killah wrote:So did you get the stick(s)?!?
