When the Gameboy is turned on, does it show the Nintendo (R) text, or a solid black box with a (R)?

You need to load the EM3Link driver onto the PC you're using to transfer the rom.
You can grab the latest version of it and the transfer software here:
http://www.hkems.com/files/GB_USB.rar
There's an instruction manual for your EMS 64M card here:
http://www.robwebb1.plus.com/copiers/usb_gb/manual.zip

After you extract the files out of the GB_USB RAR file, right-click on the file EM3Link.inf and choose [install] from the popup menu under your mouse cursor.
Next, connect the cart using the usb cable.
You might get that found new hardware wizard where it asks for files. if so, point it to where you extracted the RAR file for everything it wants and if it warns you about digitally signed drivers, click [continue anyway].
Double-click on the rom transfer program GB_USB.exe
Look for the USB icon in the top-right corner - that tells you if your card's connected correctly.

Make sure the "COLOR [ ]" checkbox is unselected.
Click the [add] button and browse to the LSDJ.gb rom file.
Finally click [Write]

He's using a mac, so this won't work. He'll have to either bootcamp, or try and commandeer a PC to get the rom on the cart.

So it works on both my Advance and SP but not DMG. Says it should work in DMG's. Bummer cause I'm getting that prosound DMG.

But nothing happens when I plug it into a PC. The wizard says nothing. I search for it and it cant find it. Doesn't wanna work. Also I tried all that stuff with the hkems.com link and when I click it it just brings me to a ton of nonsense text. The link is not working. At least for me.

Whoever put the LSDJ rom on probably had the "color [ ]" option selected in the transfer software. The 64m cart has 2 pages to store roms, selectable by cycling the power quickly. It's possible that whoever put LSDJ on put it on page 2 with the Color option unselected. Try turning your DMG gameboy on, then off, then on again rapidly to see if that works. There's a green LED inside the cart to signal which page is active.

Does the new hardware wizard appear? I can walk you through the steps to get the driver active if it does.

If the power cycle doesn't make LSDJ work on your DMG, you'll need to download the EMS USB software and driver to re-transfer the rom in non-color mode. It's a .RAR compressed file, and it sounds like your browser doesn't recognize the filetype and is viewing it as text rather than saving it to your harddrive. Try right-clicking the link (GB_USB.RAR), and choosing [save link as...] or similar from the menu that appears under your mouse (this needs to be done on a PC of course). You'll need the program Winrar to get the driver and software out of the file once it's downloaded.
