Good luck with the LSDJ they've been out of production for quite some time and they very rarely pop up on ebay. The people who have them are unlikely to get rid of them. Only thing I can suggest is to keep an eye on ebay. They come up for sale sporadically.

Congrats! I've been eyeing their stuff for quite a while. Let me know how clean/seamless the the mods they did are. I'm a little worried about sending off my mint condition gameboy to let someone tinker with it using a dremmel and solder. I suspect he does the mod regularly but still...
Unless you want the LSDJ cart as a prop, you're better off getting a flashcart and putting the latest version of the rom on it. Nonfinite even sells the LSDJ stickers to slap on your cart. The newer versions are far superior to the one that was available when the official carts were in production.

If you're worried about battery consumption with the newer USB flashcarts, It'd probably be easier finding a Flash Linker and Mr. Flash Cartridge than a LSDJ cart (tho the newer versions keep regular backups of your work even if you haven't manually saved).

Will a flashcart fit in the gameboy slot? Is it a game boy game with a spot for a mini flash to go inside or something? You have a link to where i can buy one?

Yes, they're programmable Gameboy Color carts. AFAIK, there aren't any that actually take a SD/CompactFlash card. The newest models have a Mini USB port. You use a PC with an included program to transfer Gameboy ROM files onto them. The older ones use a powered linker to transfer files through a printer port to the cart.
The ones that are readily available are EMS GB-USB Smart Card and Jose Torres' Bleep Bloop, both are USB-type and the places that sell them will put LSDJ on them for you provided you give them the login info you get when you purchase the program from Yohan/Role Model

Here's some places to buy the carts:

If you want it to look exactly like the original LSDJ cart, here's a tutorial:

Nonfinite's premodded gameboys are insanely expesive for the amount of work he actually does to them (though by now he is rather good so the work is professional). If you have any kind of minimal ability with modding then the backlight kits are the best way to go.

I have a mac. Will the program still work? exe files dont work on mac's. And kinda dumb question but I dont remember if Color games worked on the original GB.
