Nah, the Wii's D-Pad is just fine (At least it is on my launchie wiimote) it's all about hand position and grip after which it's just like any old Nintendo D-Pad and reminds me of the original GBA's D-Pad which was awesome.
Yeah, I think the D-Pad is comfortable with the "jacket" on the Wiimote.
The Wiimote's D-pad is adequate. It just feels really small on my thumb, which is why I usually don't bother with it.

I'm in. Metroid is one of the few series I can say I have never been disappointed with any of the games. This looks to be no exception to that.

You've obviously never played Hunters.

Point. Forgot about Pinball too. Let me revise that...

Ugh, the Jacket is retarded. Bare bones remote for me please!

Ah, gotcha.

Personally I simply treat the D-Pad on the wiimote like a pad for the tip of my thumb and it works just fine whereas other D-Pads like the SNES however get the whole pad of my thumb on top instead.

Fair enough. My problem is that because it's small, and I also have somewhat large thumbs, sometimes I'll just end up mashing the entire pad at once by accident (always at critical moments, it seems).
