Indeed, no-one uses 56k modems anymore. I've always regarded posts that state "warning against 56k modem users" or similar as being rather daft and redundant. Anyway, there's a reason the picture is that size, any smaller and it would have been useless as you wouldn't see any detail

I'm still new and this is not on the main topic, but I have no choice but to use a 56k modem. I live in the middle of now where and can not afford the $80 a month for satellite internet. Having a 56k modem means that I some times have to start a download when I go to bed. I so wish I had some speed. It took me over 8 hours to download a 118MB file one time.
