I give up.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Mostly though, I want one for all the types of PS2 games I play, namely fighters, shooters, action titles, racing, arcade comps, retro comps and more.

If I wanted to play FF I have another PS2 a couch and a nice surround sound system to play that with.
Ok. But... fighters and shooters work better with joysticks, and racing games are always better with a racing wheel built into a dedicated sit-down cabinet.

It sounds like you're merely looking for the arcade experience at home with your PS2. But I'm wondering.. why not just get yourself a MAME cabinet with a lightgun and a port for extra controls.. such as a racing wheel? Why bother with the PS2?

Why are you being so confrontational and seeming to want some sort of argument? Different strokes for different folks, now ease off.

Also, screw MAME only 100% real hardware for me, period.

Yes you can. Don't all businessjerks put their contact information at the end of their emails?

Well, why don't you take profit of the situation to subscribe him to gay porn sent to his email, his home adress and special offer deals trough the phone. That would be funny. Very funny

Work emails on a closed intranet system.

Also, I'm the only one with a real bone to pick with him at the moment so it would be easy to tell who it was at a glance. So, yeah, for now I'd like to keep my job until I find another better one and get hired there.

I'm not being confrontational. I'm just responding to this post in which you're crying about not getting what you want

 I get that, what I mean is that I prefer playing games/arcade games on original hardware/cabs as opposed to mame cabs and such.

I was referring to an arcade cab for that not a compilation on any particular system. Also, retro comps are fine with me as long as it's an official licensed comp and the originators are getting the money or the bonus content is worth it like that in Sonic Gems and Sonic Mega Collection.

Anyhow, like I said before. Different gamers are fond of different things, enough said.

I hate retro compilations. Half the time they're emulated no better than what's out there on Emulator Zone. If I'm going to (essentially) buy the same game again, I want either a remake (ie. Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X) or a port that has enhancements worth a shit (ie. *Marvel vs. Capcom 2 PSN/XBLA).

*MvC2 has online play which the original did not have.
