The thing is when someone says something along the lines of "that game is pretty gay" everyone already knows what the real intentions are. They just choose to make a big deal about it for whatever reason. I'm willing to bet at least %98 of you arguing about this here are not gay (or bi) so, why the fuck do any of you even care? I am pretty sure i'm the only person that has come out and said im bi, and guess what i don't care. If some new member joins, sees someone use the work "gay" in stead of "lame" or "sucks" or "not very good" and gets so offended that he or she never comes back and/or crys them self to sleep for a week. Good riddance.8bit wrote:I completely agree. Its on thing to speak a certain way in front of friends who know what your real intentions are, but to speak like that in front of a community of people you don't know shows a lack of consideration. After all you wouldn't be in the middle restaurant, party, or class and yell out obscenities for the same reason. Show some restraint and pick some other words to get your point across.Luke wrote:Ugh.
Dsheinem didn't start this thread to start a semantics debate. I'm positive we have a "why is cursing bad" thread already. I could be wrong, but I think what he is saying is, cut out the lame sexist jokes, stop referring to every other thing as "gay" and "faggy", and overall, just try to show some class.
People also use the lords name in vain all the time here. Nobody cares? I guess we should also stop saying "that sucks" because it's bashing all those brave women and men that preform fellatio from time to time. Maybe we also need to stop saying "that's lame" because it hurts the feelings of horses around the globe. Think of all the happier horses we could have in the world if we at RacketBoy make a stand! Now! Or maybe people need to stop being such hyper-sensitive annoying crybaby assholes that try to change everybody into their idea of what right/wrong is.
