So sick of lame people on eBay

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I remember buying a mint complete boxed Breath of Fire for the GBA and the seller ended up sending it in a bubble wrap envelope... as you might have guessed the box arrived rather, shall we say, "flat". It was certainly a damn shame because everything else inside was mint as if it was just opened for the first time. I was pretty furious to say the least considering the time it took me to find a copy for sale and the money I had payed for it.

*sigh*

You know, I don't mean to sound sexist but for some reason the few times I have had something packaged poorly the seller was a woman. It works the other way around too, as a seller, the women tend to ask me some of the dumbest questions ever. Just the other day I had a woman ask me if the copy of Mario 3 I am selling is for the "Super Nintendo" or "just the Nintendo". I nearly responded with something sarcastic but managed to restrain myself somehow. It was pretty obvious this lady hadn't played a game in her life and was thus practically guaranteed to be a problem customer if she won the auction, so I added her to my bidder block list so that she would have to contact me if she wanted to place a bid.

Also, the last few incidents where a seller either took forever to pay for my item or didn't pay at all happened to be... women.

Now I'm certainly not stupid enough to assume that ALL bad transactions on eBay are the fault of the other sex but I also can't ignore that they have been responsible for almost all of my bad experiences. :?

I would rather assume its the other way around, well, at least when it comes to packaging.

For me, most male guys send questionable packages.

Women's packages, are ususally padded nicely. I once recieved a nice juicy saturn import package from a lady, and she even put in gummy bears! :o Cute.

Edit: damn that womens packages padded thingy dosnt sound right. Well whatever!

I can't deny that women's packages are nice, but their packing skills are questionable in my experience. :P

Yeah, i've got a stack of packages from ebay items which I use to wrap things I sell on ebay; no point buying packaging when you can recycle it. People aren't paying for packaging on ebay they are paying for postage costs and getting the goods in good condition, so recycled is fine.

My favourite sketches on Red Dwarf was when Kryten was duped into wishing Kerchansky a "happy period" with his "little present" ; and the famous (blue alert) "but sir, that means changing the light bulb".

I pack items well.
The item is wrapped in Bubble wrap
The item May be put in a slip case
I then put it in the box/envelope
I then Fill the box with packing penuts
I close the box tightly, reinforcing the edges with tape

Well, except when I shipped to ShockSlayer, I just shoved that thing in a white envelope.

There is such a thing as healthy paranoia.

What you say there, is baseless and excessive suspicion of the motives of others. Why the hell would a Turkish women try to Food-Poison a fellow japan-collector :o

Perhaps it was a way of assimilate me to them! Ever since I collected so many import things from turkish people, I realized they are a lot nicer then most germans

They're filled with nicotine. You subconciously find yourself ordering things from the same turkish woman. $80 for mario bros/duck hunt. . . hmm, that seems weird. . . but those free gummy bears. I need those free gummy bears. Eventually you're not even buying games. You're buying hand-knitted sweaters for hummel figurines. In bulk.

! I remember getting crash bandicoot for the Playstation when I was 7 or 8 off ebay. It was shipped in a 12'x12'x12' box, with a whole bunch of smaller boxes and padded envelopes inside it. It took me 20 minutes just to open the thing, but at least it was not damaged :)
