Yes, I had a friend who almost lost her leg to Staph. It came from a tiny wound on her leg from something like a bug bite that got infected. I have another friend who has a compromised immune system and she continually gets staph and MERSA and needs to be hospitalized.

I went to Egypt when I was 12 and it was pretty fun. Just a lot to see and the people are very nice. I wouldn't mind going to Africa again if the chance came up in the future but it's looking rather unlikely.
