I understand but he knew nothing about the value of the games until I said something. They are probably in his closet with the rest of his stuff. I'm just going to wait but are the games even worth it for the price? Some replied saying I need a keyboard and a adapter or something like that. What am I going to need to play these games? And NO NO NO he doesn't need the money for anything. His wife makes all the money he doesn't even have to work. He just works at a just to get out of the house. And yeah he works part time

You only need a broadband adapter to play on Sctack's server. You can play offline without it. The keyboard is also optional, it just makes communicating easier.

Just curious, do you have an original Xbox with a gamer-tag still on the hard drive? PSO Episode 1&2 for Xbox is extremely cheap. I got a sealed copy for $3.99, but you have to have a gamer-tag even for offline play. it doesn't have to be still subscribed to XBL or anything, just still on the HDD.

Hmmmm... will the Xbox still play games with a dead HDD? I believe there is a hacked version of PSO out there that doesn't require a gamer-tag. You could run it on your modded Xbox and save to a memory card instead. I do believe PSO on Xbox supports saving this way.

You could always go the PC route. PSO on PC is easy enough to acquire through some online searching.

I don't care what anyone says. Those games are not worth $60 bucks. It wasn't back then and it sure isn't now. I have seen them fairly frequently up here in canada for 5- 15 bucks. But to be entirely honest I had them for dreamcast and didn't care much for them then nothing to special. Average at best. Save your money and wait it out. Also I have floated buddies copies of expensive games I got in bundles and stuff for way less than what EGAY prices are sometimes even for free. Should be based on what he paid. Besides if your true friends who gives a crap about money.

Let me level with you: you've got an unwarranted sense of entitlement. Let's say I find a gold nugget in the middle of a field. It cost me nothing to get it. Does that mean I'm obligated to sell it to a friend for the same price I got it?

Your friend already cut you a deal and offered it to you for less than the market rate. If you had your way, you'd essentially ask him to forego something like $40-50 that could otherwise go straight into his pocket. He's already come down somewhat from the market rate, and that's all that friendship requires him to do.

Thank you very much I would give the games to him for free and he did not pay anything for those games. Even if i gave him ten a piece its still a profit to him

mas wrote:I had just been to my local gamestop in my area looking for fantasy star online 1+2 and 1+2 plus for the gamecube. Now I started to collect gamecube games for about 6 months now and I never knew what a great system this is. It is my top 3 systems of all time. So back to the story well at my gamestop they called the only three stores in the country to have these two games and they all are on hold for people who already called looking for these games. I thought my luck was bad but its gets worse. I called up a close friend of mine and I told him about what happened and he says "well I have both games if you want them" I almost wanted to cry because even though gamestop sells them for 5 bucks a piece ebay sells them for 60-80 dollars for each game. So I asked him where he got them because he doesn't even have a gamecube and he said he got them from a trade in some lady was doing at a gamestop and she got nothing for them so she gave them to him. Right place at the right time I guess. So I asked what he wants for them, He says and I quote "I'm not going to give them to you I'm putting them on Ebay. If you want these games give me 60.00 a piece and their yours" I told him that that's messed up and he should do a favor for a friend. So he said o.k 50 a piece take or leave it. Wtf kind of friend does that to someone? I'm not going to sell them I want to collect these games and play with them. So I gotta ask you guys anything like this happened to you and what do you do? Also anyone knows where I can get these games for my collection? Thanks for your help guys please give me some pointers.
Your friend is a greedy unfriendly friend.
Good pal would give you one of them.
But then again gotta be a really goood pal.

3 stores across the country in stock only? Man I knew I was lucky but didn't know the game was that scarce at gamestop.

Okay my story.
Collecting Gamecube games for about 3 months, also kept an eye out on Gamestop link of Phantasy star. Only one link for 2nd version. Spotted one on the shelf calling me at a local Gamestop. Version 1 white cover. Employee told me it was not listed and version 2 showed zero on hand. Bought that game under version 2 listed at $4.99.

The sad part is as you pointed out, a rare game never gets re-circulated due to low or no trade in value. same with all the Action Replays. Gamestop is listening though, "Modman" pointed out that Gamestop will cut down plastering spine stickers due to customers complaints. Voice yours on that online sales receipt survey.
