What concerts have you attended?
Re: What concerts have you attended?
Hmmm...
I saw some random stuff in high school and early college. I didn't really care about music at all back then, so I don't really remember anything in particular. It was mostly church chorale stuff and some jazz from the Music department at my unversity.
Oh, I saw the Village People at a music festival. I managed to get a free ticket by volunteering to help with something, so I showed up. It was kind of fun.
I saw Creed, Sevendust, and Stir back in 2000 or 2001. I actually had no interest in any of them, and just went because all of my friends were going. I actually fell asleep.
I saw Sister Hazel when my friends won free tickets off a radio show. I don't remember much about the concert except talking with a neighbor of mine who was drunk at the time.
I saw Metallica in 2004. They put on a great show, and I really enjoyed it.
I saw Abigail Washburn and the Sparrow Quartet (Feat. Bela Fleck) a couple of years ago. This show was really incredible. I would definitely go see them again if they ever do another tour together. I wanted to see them just because Bela Fleck was involved and I could get cheap student tickets, but it greatly exceeded my expectations.
I hope to see Megadeth this year.

Re: What concerts have you attended?
The only time I actively paid for a ticket was Motley Crue's "Carnival of Sins" tour in 2005.
And then I've gone to concerts because certain friends had extra tickets and invited me along. Those concerts were Deathcab for Cutie and Earth Wind & Fire (ugh x2).

Re: What concerts have you attended?
Way too many to mention them all. My highlights are:
Rush
Blur
Fantomas
Squarepusher
The Locust
De La Soul
Tool (twice, amazing both times)
Dream Theater (4 times)
Rammstein
SikTh (their last ever show, it was epic)
Nine Inch Nails (3 times, the last time sucked, it was one of their last ever gigs and they played all the shitty slow stuff. Was bored out of my skull)
At one point my fiancée and I were seeing several concerts a month. One hectic month had 2-3 concerts in the same week. It would probably be quicker to ask who we haven't seen

If it's any comfort to you metal is my least favourite type of music.dudex77 wrote:Why do gamers so commonly listen to shitty metal?

Re: What concerts have you attended?
Ok, this is somewhat incomplete but probably catches 75% of what I've seen:
The Autumn Defense
The Beta Band
Beck (x2, once with the Flaming Lips as his band)
The Black Crowes
The Black Keys
The Jimmy Chamberlin Complex
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
Nels Cline
Cold
Coldplay (yawn)
Billy Corgan solo (x2)
Counting Crows (probably about 6x)
Creed (cringes)
The Decemberists
Drive By Truckers (x2)
Bob Dylan
The Flaming Lips (x3 or x4)
Ben Folds (probably about x6)
Foo Fighters (x2)
Garbage
Lit
Godsmack
GWAR
The Hold Steady
Json Isbell
Wycleff Jean
Billy Joel solo
Elton John solo
Billy Joel and Elton John (x2)
Ben Kweller
Live
Kansas
Dave Matthews Band (x4)
Willie Nelson
Nine Inch Nails
Moby
Oleander
Our Lady Peace
Pearl Jam (x3)
A Perfect Circle (x2)
Tom Petty (x2)
John Popper solo
Queens of the Stone Age (x4 or x5)
Radiohead (x2)
The Smashing Pumpkins (x6, all 2000 or earlier)
Seether
Sonic Youth
Bruce Springsteen
Staind (cringes again)
James Taylor
Two Gallants
Umphrey's McGee
Weezer
Wilco (x6 or so + 4 Jeff Tweedy solo shows too)
Zwan (x3)
I feel like I'm forgetting some major shows, but I saw most of these over a span of about 10 years. The concert attending has dwindled to a trickle of late.

Re: What concerts have you attended?
Wow, im so jealous of you. I have been a Rage fan since 93. Also Im a HUGE Wu-Tang fan. Wow I would love to see them both! And a few years back a wish came true when I got to see Rage Against The Machine at Rock the Bells (along with a bunch of other hip hop acts that I didn't really watch like Wu Tang Clan).
