What concerts have you attended?

There have been a ton of what are you listening to threads but I haven't seen one about live concerts? Just wondering what artists/musical groups you guys have seen live? Music has always been a passion of mine and going to a live show is one of the best experiences ever imo. Nothing like the adrenaline rush it gives you.

Two bands I have been dying to see live are Avenged Sevenfold and Tool. One day

Hmm, I'd have to look at my tickets to remember them all (I think).

Big Day Off was Mudvayne, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Slip Knot, and maybe some others I don't really remember.

And a few years back a wish came true when I got to see Rage Against The Machine at Rock the Bells (along with a bunch of other hip hop acts that I didn't really watch like Wu Tang Clan).

I think I've been to a few more concerts than that, but I can't remember lol.

I used to go to concerts all the time when I was younger (14-18, mostly) now I only go if it's someone I really feel like I need to see before I die, or Saves the Day. I've seen them about 8 times.

That's how wide my musical taste is. Go figure.

I'm not gonna list all the bands I've seen (way too many), but just about every metal band out there. I've seen Black Dahlia Murder, Slayer, Darkest Hour, Cannibal Corpse, Mastodon, Children of Bodom, BTB&M, Warbringer, Dying Fetus, LoG, DevilDriver, Napalm Death, et alii countless times.

I've seen bands like Slipknot, Disturbed, etc, but I really don't like those bands. They're just radio rock. Not very metal so it's hard to get excited about them.

On a lighter note, my first concert was a Scorpions concert.. lol. My second was Green Day. After that it's been all metal all the way.

You're kidding right? Usually the music is loud enough that you can't hear anything else, unless you're hanging out in back.

I try to go to at least one or two good music festivals a year, and catch whatever I can that comes through town. Got to see George Clinton a couple of months ago here in town. Dumpstafunk a couple of weeks after that. Dr. Dog a couple of weeks ago. Saw Lotus earlier this winter. Etc. etc. It gets hard to remember all of them actually.

Still, nothing like a good music festival. I went to the first two Bonnaroos. Awesome shows, awesome vibe, but just a little big for my tastes. I hear it's gotten crappy though. This year isn't looking terribly good for festivals around here. 10k lakes is gone, probably can't make Wakarusa. Even Schwagstock is getting expensive, used to be $25 at the gate, now it's $60. Ah well, still worth it. Can't wait for festival season!

BTW: These were the best $12 I've ever spent. No distortion, and no ear ringing the next day.

I've attended a few, but not keen on the experience. I do like to collect well-produced concert DVDs. I wish I could find one for the SST Band.
