Good driving type game for PC

Mid-town madness was awesome back in the day, it's dated pretty badly though now.

Altitude is left/right to change the pitch of your aircraft and up boosts, and space fires. Pretty much it. It's very addictive.

I'm only able to run Carmageddon I on dosbox with software rendering, which spoils a bit of the fun

But Carmageddon 2 works nicely on Win 7 after a bit of fiddling!

The 'hardware' rendering of Carma was Voodoo only unfortunately.

Is there an uncensored PS1 version? You can try that instead, using pSX or ePSXe. I think it's a terrible game myself, but there was nothing quite like it back then. The closest was Destruction Derby and that game was even more awful.
