I am looking for a PC game that is based around driving in a car but not limited to racing.
Something that is relativly new and has some kind of damage system that looks cool also i'd like some kind of depth such as long tracks possibly with multiple routes(not free roam) and a wide selection of real life style cars(or at least one sedan).
I want something like nfs shift but not that because i already have it and it now refuses to run on my PC. Additionally is must be in 3d and not some horrible mainstream POS that everyone thinks is good from IGN's oh so inaccurate reviews.
Saturn, SNES, NGC, Wii, DSi, GBA, GBA Micro, PSX, PS2 and every emulator ever made
I used to own a really badass drag racing game... if that's up your alley. Flatout is pretty good as well. I can't really think of any other ones of the top of my head.
Carmaggedon, if you can get past the dated DOS visuals the game is so much fun. Many many hours were spent on that game back in the day. It's kind of like destruction derby but with pedestrian bonuses. (by pedestrian bonuses I mean, bonuses for how long you leave a blood skid-mark for, or hitting elderly ladies with zimmerframes)
I second Carmaggedon. So much time spent in that and its sequel at lan parties. Gene Rally is also fun, but is only racing, to my knowledge. Sorry, I mostly know real racing games - rFactor, Live for Speed, etc.
JT I would like Super Laser Racer alot more if it was multiplayer. Dont get me wrong it is an awesome game, but lack of multiplayer hurts it in my book. It is ripe for lan party play.
