Whats the best 3rd Party N64 controller?

As for me, I bought five hori pads when I had a chance. They have not had the rounds but they are just waiting for the right time. I have not invested in the odd white ones that show up on ebay occasionally, but will sometime in the future.

Modman, I think you have your dates wrong. I am fairly certain the Hori pad came out after the Cube. Which is one of the reasons why it is not as widespread as it should be. I might be wrong, but I first started seeing them on import sites right after the Cube launched.

If I remember correctly the Mini-Pads were sold from '99 to '00 before Hori pulled them off of the market unexpectedly leading to the short supply due to the design's sale to Nintendo.

Fast, thanks for that link. I can't believe I never saw that thread! It's exactly what I want my finished product to look like. However, I don't think I'll be trying exactly what he did (with the ICB and whatnot - I plan to put the Cube stick on a 3rd party controller that will readily except it than fit the whole thing into a first party controller).

It looks so damn good in the pic, it's getting me pumped to try it myself.

Ok modman the best I could find is NCSX saying they will have the new Hori pad in December 2000. So they were released before the Gamecube, but I cannot find anything that says that they are they had production stopped because of Nintendo. I did find an ad that said $25 + $10 shipping for them new though...

It is very comfortable, didnt take that long to get used to.

Yeah, I really wanted to try one of those out myself but haven't felt like spending the cash on it. A friend had one back in the day, and I remember holding it for a second and hating it. But I really wanna give it another try.
