Oh boy, 10 years, huh?

I do remember the shortage of PS2 when it came out, and I didn't bother with Dreamcast (ironic, since I got one last year! ), and my bros and I waited until October when the next shipment came in. In the wait periods in between, we did get a PSOne (or slim), and gave away our old PS1 to a buddy of my bros (one that you had to play upside down).

And the first game we got was Tekken Tag Tournament, which is in my bro's place now, I still think 5 is the better one. And man, we played the hell out of GT3, taking turns on the endurance race, trying our best to tweak the awful Toyota Vitz, but we only got up to 90% completion, and strangely none of us was into GT4 later, and GT5 hasn't got any of us burning up. And we rented games from Blockbuster to try out, good idea, since you didn't play full price for it.

But unfortunately, the first PS2 was damage when my bro tripped over the wires while I was playing. Had to use my tax rebate to get a new "fat" one, and that was about a month away from one of the price cut.

Yup, I'll stop here. PS2 is definitely one of the greatest gaming consoles in history.

I love the PS2. It's got one of the strongest RPG lineups, perhaps ever. And even if you don't like RPGs, the PS2 has got something for you. It's just an insanely diverse game library.

Obvious conclusion is obvious.

It's harder than you might think to add 10 years to 1999. It took me 7 years, and that's just because by then I only had to add 3 to it

I'm a big fan.

Just when I think it's over, I find something else I want to play.

I'm anxious play PAL games next. One's we never got. Like He Man!

Very true. It really doesn't matter what genre you enjoy, there's something you'll want to try on the PS2. Why, I was playing mine just this morning. I remember when it was first released, staying up all night at a friends place playing Zone of the Enders and Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore. When I finally got mine a little while later, I played it constantly. Oni was the first PS2 game I ever beat.

The PS2 is certainly my favorite and gets most of what little gaming time I have available. I didn't buy a PS2 until the GT3 pack-in version came out. I still collect for all my systems, but I'm finding I am collecting more for the PS2 than any system I own. My Genesis, Sega CD and Saturn collections are now bloated with games I'll never get around to playing, but that doesn't seem to be the case with my PS2 even though I have a lot of "going to play that soon" games for my PS2.

Maybe I'll squeeze in a little Futurama tonight.

I cant believe how successful the PS2 has been. How many games are on the Ps2 now, 1000? 2000?

...I only have 12 :(

Rest in Peace Dreamcast.
thats what i was just thinking. the huge success of the ps2 killed the dreamcast. but with that said... could anyone imagine still playing new dreamcast games like we do with the ps2? i think not... so it would seem the better console survived!
