I would like to mention Aerial Assault, and Halley Wars, two great shumps.

Also, if you can find one, Junction is a suprisingly good puzzle game. Too bad it is very rare.

Sonic Drift 2 and Micro Machines for the racing genre

The Incredible crash dummies is an alright mini-game thingy

Super battle tank is a decent FPS

Devilish is like breakout, only you have to get the bell through a maze at the same time. It was re-mastered for the DS also

Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine and Colums/Super Colums are puzzle games.

ummm thats all I can think of, besides Beavis & Butthead. It is worth your time, but I think it was also on Genesis and Super Nintendo

Sonic triple trouble and Ristar. . . Sonic Drift 2 is kinda cool if you're into sonic. Wasn't there a dynamite headdy game too? I don't know if it's much different than the genesis version though.

Obviously, the Game Gear Aleste games should be mentioned. BTW, a lot of people here have mentioned ports. I thought the idea was NOT to recommend ports? :?

I'm ok with 'ports' that are drastically different. But when the games are more or less similar, and one is clearly superior, I'm going to get the superior one (barring nostalgia factoring in). For example, Primal Rage on Game Gear is a game I like because of nostalgia. Otherwise I wouldn't want to spend money on it unless I was swimming in hundred dollar bills. I'm very interested in obtaining Mega Man for Game Gear because the bosses and structure of the game (plus some of the gameplay itself, like vertical scrolling) create a significantly different experience than any other individual Mega Man game. But similar, inferior ports, even if they are good in their own outright, is exactly what I'm not looking for.
