Super Dodge Ball was awesome for multiplayer. I can't think of a better competitive NES multiplayer game.

Ooh! Yes, Spy VS Spy was good fun on multiplayer. I forgot about that. It kind of sucked on single player though.

OMG, yes it was an amazing multi-player. I remember having insane tournaments of this game when I was young. So awesome. heh, I was just playing the GBA remake the other night actually.

Super Off Road and Anticipation were big hits when I was growing up.

It's been mentioned a couple of times, but I don't think the original Bomberman on NES had multiplayer. I think you had to get Bomberman 2 for that, but it's possible I'm wrong.

Also, TMNT 2 and 3 are multi-player. TMNT is not.

My brother and I actually used to have a lot of fun playing Tecmo World Wrestling and WWF Wrestlemania. WWF Wrestlemania isn't exactly aged well, but Tecmo World Wrestling is good for a laugh, at least.
