I actually don't know where it came from. As long as I can remember, that's what I was entering in the arcade. Part of why I picked it was because it fit the three-letter slot. There was a little while where I was playing online when I didn't use it. I played TFC under the name El Capitan for a year, but finally went back to Ack. I used to have a joke that it was the sound of people shouting in pain or surprise, hence why I took it.

I started calling myself Ackattack after I started playing games that required more than three characters, and Ackattack sounded good to me. I like the repetition of the vowels and hard consonants.
