Nah, he said that since its so rare he wouldn't do it out of respect for people who actually own the import versions...equalsign wrote:So jfe2, was NES Reproductions able to make you a copy?
So, if anyone knows where I can get a repro cart that will run on an NTSC NES, let me know!

Do you have a NES/Famiclone? My PAL Over Horizon works on My Generation Nex and I think it also worked on the Family Boy without any issues.jfe2 wrote:Nah, he said that since its so rare he wouldn't do it out of respect for people who actually own the import versions...equalsign wrote:So jfe2, was NES Reproductions able to make you a copy?![]()

Cool game/videos. Nice find, I would have never known about this.
Re: Mr. Gimmick NES gameplay video
I do actually! I have a GN Twin and an FC Mobile II. Unfortunately the only copy of Mr. Gimmick that I can find online is going for $1000...Hobie-wan wrote:Do you have a NES/Famiclone? The game was all set for a US release, but was scrapped at the last minute. I'm basically just looking for a repro copy of the American version, although I guess it would be hard to differentiate from the PAL copy now that I think about it.
Re: Mr. Gimmick NES gameplay video
I learn about so much unique stuff on Racketboy that I just never hear about anywhere else. Thanks to the magic powers of the internet (*cough* coolrom.com *cough*), I just gave this game a try. It is incredibly difficult! It's the fact that you have to charge your weapon before you can use it, then the weapon bounces instead of following a straight path, and you have to wait for it to start bouncing before you can use it again. Plus, all those spikes and slippery floors are a real pain. I could see how with a little practice it could really grow on me though.

I've never even seen one for sale. The only version I've seen is a PAL copy for $1000!molotovwars wrote:I hate to stumble across something like this, a guy i would be willing to buy, to basically find out its not an option. How much is a Japanese famicom version?
