Yeah, that was my thought. The "suit up" and "inside helmet HUD" parts are pretty blatant rip offs.Jrecee wrote:Someone's been watching iron man. . .

Looks like a cross between Virtual On, Outrigger and Halo.

It's not like those were new concepts when Iron Man did it.elvis wrote:Yeah, that was my thought. The "suit up" and "inside helmet HUD" parts are pretty blatant rip offs.Jrecee wrote:Someone's been watching iron man. . .

Chris Cunningham discussed without an Aphex Twin Come to Daddy reference? Shame on you guys.

Sorry for further derailing thread.
Trailer looks... er... great.

That video is ok, but I definitely don't think it's his best work, not by a long stretch. I much prefer Rubber Johnny, that is a much better Chris Cunningham/R.D.James collaboration, in my opinion.

Back on the topics of music videos, I also like a lot of the stuff I've seen from Royksopp. I don't know who has directed their videos, but sometimes they take a simple concept and do it really well.
Rokysopp - Eple
Royksopp - Only This Moment
I don't like this song as much, but I thought the video was well done.
I remember a friend of mine had a Michael Gondry DVD of a collection of his music videos that was enjoyable to watch. I remember the video for Daft Punk's Around the World, and Kylie Minogue - Come into My World.
That Rubber Johnny video was really out there, or WTF as someone said. I like some Aphex Twin but sometimes I just don't need to see it visualized haha.

I don't know anything about music videos. I listen to Heavy Metal.
