That's how you can tell it's my room and not the wife's (she gets the rest of the house). I'm a giant man.GamerMON wrote:Do you have a pic of yourself next to your collection. It looks like you need a ladder to get the games above the tv.
You think that's bad? You should see the latest NES games I just picked up over the weekend. The lady with the tooth (yes, one) that sold them to me must have been storing them in the bottom of her fridge.Devezu wrote: BTW, the PS2's grille is dirty. You should clean it. Easily done with an old toothbrush. I hate that I'm a stickler for that kind of stuff.
Thanks for the suggestion! I'd love to have them all ready to go at a moment's notice, but I just don't have the space to do it the way I'd like. (Have you seen the Odyssey 2 in there? It's a beast.) The arsenal off to the side makes the systems easy enough to get to. You'll be happy to know that they all get used regularly!Dylan wrote: Why not wire up those systems with switch boxes and cutoff power strips. Maybe run some box tubing to hide all the wires to keep the clean look you have. Then you can truly enjoy all those great Retro systems you own.

I like the room, and am definitely digging the Odyssey 2. Very underrated system IMO and the controller is fantastic. Much better than the 2600 one. Bought one a couple weeks ago and am loving it.

Just for fun, here's a picture of what the basement looked like when we moved in:

I always prefer neat and tidy game rooms like this compared to huge collections where people can't walk
.
One question though, where the heck are the wires to the consoles on the wall shelves? Or are those just not plugged in yet?

Sorry, the carpet is gone. Scraping away the toxic 30-year-old padding underneath actually gave my wife a rash. Ah, memories.s1mplehumar wrote:^ That's more like it. I hope you didn't toss that killer carpet?
The consoles off to the side are simply "on deck." I have all of the necessary cables ready to go behind the scenes. We can be playing Jackal in a matter of 60 seconds.winds wrote: One question though, where the heck are the wires to the consoles on the wall shelves? Or are those just not plugged in yet?
