Inazuma, the funny thing is that your know it all attitude and inability to even remotely consider the view or opinion of anyone else is exactly what makes you the most like a Scientologist. After reading this thread it shows me how young this fourm really is. Until you have a child you have no idea the overwhelming emotional feeling towards a human being you can have. It's unlike anything you can experience from a wife or a parent, at times it's so overwhelming it can take your breath away and you had no idea how much you could truly love something.

I agree even though I don't have a child yet. I always say that the child might not forgive the parent, but the parent will always forgive the child.

This is idealistic BS to me. The majority of parents love the concept of their children more than they love the children themselves. Oh yeah, they'll love them unconditionally, as long as the children turn out the way they wanted them to. Go outside that though, and they suddenly care a lot less.

Like I said, I'm not on very good terms with my parents at this point.

If you don't have children then what's the point to anything? Go through your life collecting peices of plastic that you can't take with you where ever you belive you're going? I have one of the largest colletions on this website yet I would sell everything at the drop of a hat if I had to, at the end of the day it's just stuff a distraction from everyday life but don't let your "stuff" own you. A rich man with no family is much more poor then a poor Man with lots of family.
