Soda?! Bah. Don't waste away your body with that gunk. Sorry if I'm being preachy but I can't drink more then one can of that stuff without feeling bloated and downright awful.
Have a nice cold glass of milk instead or you'll never be able to beat Super Mario 64!

I didnt know Pepsi was doing this, looks like I need to find some throwback Mountain Dew.
Im from Atlanta so Coke central, but after a shoot a couple months ago my little brother came in with a flat of Mexican Cokes. New Years Eve started with Rum and Coke, made with Mexican Cokes and Appleton Estate Private Stock - there are reasons why I dont drink often, that $15 drink is one of them...
And if you are on the hunt for Kosher coke, the two liters have a yellow screwtop.

It is a sad state of affairs when we export a product made with real sugar and sell the imitation to our own people.
I've never been a big fan of corn syrup but at the same time I've always been a big soda drinker. I'm also the type to spend many sleepless nights hunched over a keyboard so it is nothing for me to go through a 12 pack of Pepsi on my own in one day/night.
I really love the throwback Pepsi and prefer it over regular Pepsi. When it first came out and I tried it I knew that was the soda for me. When I could no longer find it I wouldn't drink regular Pepsi for a while afterwards and got by on coffee and sweet tea instead. Eventually I started drinking regular Pepsi again after trying many other soft drinks (Coke, Mountain Dew, RC Cola begin the main three). Pepsi is the only soft drink I can stand the taste of after it gets hot. Coke is just too harsh after it gets warm, RC tastes like gasoline after it gets hot, and MD tastes too much like OJ after it warms up (not a big fan of OJ).
Anyway now that it is back I'm a happy panda and will be stocking up on it this time around. Hopefully they'll keep better than the McRib.

It is a sad state of affairs, but we aren't really exporting coke with real sugar. Mexican coke is imported from Mexico. Coke all over the world is mixed locally/regionally. If the US didn't tax the crap out of sugar imports and subsidize corn like crazy, we would be drinking coke with real sugar, too.DownSince86 wrote:It is a sad state of affairs when we export a product made with real sugar and sell the imitation to our own people.

I didn't try the Pepsi throwback since I don't care much for cola, but I tried the Mountain Dew Throwback and the Dr. Pepper Heritage, and they both have a noticeable difference in taste.
And yes, they should be permanent. Oh, and extend the "real sugar" deal to their other sodas, like Mt. Dew Code Red and Sierra Mist.

I'm in great shape, but for some reason, I sweat like a pig after drinking a can of soda. It is pretty weird.Big Stupid wrote: Sorry if I'm being preachy but I can't drink more then one can of that stuff without feeling bloated and downright awful.

The thing about high fructose corn syrup releasing chemicals when heated is a bit depressing. I always make coca cola bbq sauce when I make ribs so it gets heated for like an hour.
Not that I'm going to lose any sleep over it. I might just buy a bottle of mexican coke to cook with in the future anyway.
