"Our motto is "Be true to Jam""
And it was already confirmed that you can play with Wiimote on its side. This is everything it needs to be NBA Jam. Supporting Classic Controller or GC controller is just a bonus.

I'm one of many who loathe the use of the B button with the WiiMote on it's side. Feel free to disagree all you like, but this falls under the veil of personal preference, and I can't stand it.
So unless this somehow becomes a two button game, I want my alternative control input.

I'm glad that I'm not the onlyone who feels that way. But even if for whatever reason they don't offer the option to use the classic or Gamecube controller, I'd still have to get it just because it's NBA Jam.
If it doesnt support the Classic or Cube controllers then it looks like Ill have to hack up a wiimote, been meaning to do that anyway. However I dont think EA is stupid enough to not give it multiple controller schemes. They know what the fans want, and I think they are going to deliver. Regardless Im in - Boomshakalaka.

From Nintendo Power:
"As much fun as they believe in the motion controls, however, the developers don't want to shove them down people's throats. Therefore, you'll have the option to unplug the Nunchuk controller and play with the Wii Remote turned sideways."

Yeah they referenced that they learned their lesson from Punch Out Wii and that's why they will use the sideways NES style control too... unfortunately Punch Out did not support the Classic Controller or the GC.
