Favorite Loading Screens
Re: Favorite Loading Screens
Metroid Prime, the little elevator sequences blend into the game well enough and they aren't long enough to be annoying.

Re: Favorite Loading Screens
I like the loading screens in Phantasy Star Online. Nothing like a good seizure before you go adventuring! =P
Remember, there were also loading screens between certain areas that you ran through. The two nude statues stand out with a disc in the middle. O_oBreetai wrote:I kind of like the Symphony of the Night loading screen, mostly because you can play around morphing the letters with the d-pad.

Re: Favorite Loading Screens
Anything that lets you actually do something during the load is a good idea. The Bayonetta example is a good one - especially when it so damn stylish! Hard to believe more games haven't employed this over the years.
My fave would have to be the original in this concept (so far as I know): Ridge Racer on the PS1. There was only one load screen, when you booted the game up. During this screen you played a modified round of Galaxian and if you managed to shoot all the enemies it rewarded you by unlocking eight more cars beyond the normal four.
