Cheers guys, you've been very helpful.

I'm not quite sure on the whole adapter issue. Is the input for it in the neo geo a fairly standard one? And if i buy a UK adapter that fits, and use a step down transformer for it, will it basically function the same as a japanese one?

In reply to the person wanting to know why i plan on importing, a NGPC on ebay UK from europe atm, costs about £45 (been an annoying price spike on them the last few months). A NGPC from japan, even with postage, and customs tax's, VAT etc, should only reach about the £30 mark. I know it might seem like a pretty puny saving, but as a poor broke University student, anything i can do to not spend my birthday money away as quickly is good by me.

Do you have a system lined up yet? I'm going shopping tomorrow. If I find one, should I pick one up for you? I probably won't see many games for it (rare outside of a major retro game shop), but you never know.

EDIT: Thanks for the offer Breetai, but i think i have just found a good deal on a European NGPC.

Bought it: NGPC w/ Puzzle Bobble mini, cardfighters clash and neo geo cup '98 plus for £36 including postage, and a 4 pack of NGPC games (faselei, gals fighters, sonic pocket adventure, puzzle link) for £17.

Considering whether i can afford to buy metal slug 2nd mission and dark arms beast buster for £15 now.

All you need to care about is matching up what the bottom of the unit says it wants polarity, voltage, and mA wise with a power brick as discussed. It doesn't matter what's going on with the wall side of things, you're just concerned with what's coming out of the power brick matching what's needed for the unit.

That's cheaper than you probably could've gotten one from me anyway. Shipping from Japan is killer, which is why I don't sell a lot of stuff easily available in other countries. It's kind of pointless.

Where did you get this? Was it amazon, or ebay, or some other place? I've been looking for the 4 pack that has Faselei for a very long time, seeing as that's the only "american" version of the game, and it should be the cheapest, even though people are still gouging for it

Actually, if you'd like I could take it off your hands for a reasonable price.
