I really didn't think this topic should get personal, but Inazuma, your major problem is that you are completely full of yourself. There are people who may completely agree with you, but, unfortunately, you have such a caustic personality when posting that it just makes people not want to talk at all. So they respond with a simple one word answer just to quiet you and get back to the real discussion. Then, you press and press because you take this as you being completely right and you ultimately turn everyone against you. I have met people like you before who give these long-winded personal opinion filled speeches and they think what they say is fact because they believe it or because they can cite a wiki article or because no one feels like arguing back because they are just humoring you by listening to you in the first place. Even if you do know something you do not present it in a reasonable way where someone can say "thank you, I did not know that." You, instead, present it in this condescending "hah, I got them with this topic, wait until I show off my stuff." Whenever you say something, just because you are saying it, I do NOT take it as fact. Even if it is. I will research anything you say before I take it as fact. It is not because you are more logical and I cannot grasp the unearthly intelligence you possess, it's because your personality makes you seem like a fanatic and we know that most fanatics are full of shit. You see it as being true to yourself and honest and that somehow this puts you on a higher level and screw whoever doesn't want to listen to you. This is not how knowledge spreads though and, ultimately, even if you are happy, you are not helping the rest of the world in any way. Not to mention it is intimidating for people who may not want to take part in the conversation and we lose out on what could be a very valid opinion.

You do not have a PhD, I think. If you did, I would take whatever you were a doctor in under consideration. You do not know all the facts about everything. For instance, maybe prayer helps. I am not religious so it wouldn't work for me, but maybe someone who prays feels more confident going into the day and better about themselves meaning they create the happiness or good luck they prayed for. Bam! Is that fact, no it's an opinion. But you will just say "no, you can't prove to me that there is a signal that leaves your hands when you hold them a certain way and that there is someone who receives this signal somewhere else and sends you what you asked for." You asked for some of the most absurd things to be proved, but nobody cares. If you take only things that are factual and 100% proven than you must have a bleak life. It is fun to have hope (hope can't be proven to do anything), faith (can't be proven to do anything), and imagination (just a worthless tool to consider things that are not 100% factual and thus are a waste of time)... etc.

Haha, not again! I remember that post about Jap vs. Japanese. No offense meant of course, just summarizing the basis of the argument.

EDIT: actually it was using JAP as a shortened form of a region I think similar to PAL and it got all misconstrued.

I'd hug, but I'm too preoccupied watching Orson Welles clap.
