So you are the guy who actually like Eyes Wide Shut. I've heard much about you.

It takes place during christmas, its not a main focal point of the movie. Christmas is just a back drop for the story and to explain why a seperated couple are getting togther. A christmas story needs to be about christmas in my eyes and not just take place during that time, otherweise its just a story with christmas in it.

Now a closer borderline movie would be Gremelins. It not only take place during chritmas but the story is about a christmas gift and the problems that arrive from the gift.

Now back on to diehard I might consider it more a christmas movie if when they opened the safe instead of playing "Hallelujah" they played "Joy to the World" or something along those lines. To me the theme of the movie has to be christmas not just when it takes place. Yippee-ki-yay Merry Christmas

I would totally agree that Die Hard is a Christmas movie. That along with Lethal Weapon.

Die Hard can be whatever kind of movie it wants to be. As long as it promises not to hurt me.
Comics, RPG's, miniatures, and now retrogaming? I guess its time to learn to go without eating...

Dude, Handel's Messiah is about the Christian Messiah, i.e. Christ.

Yeah, I can't figure it out. I hear all of these people saying that Die Hard 2 is their favorite, and I don't know if they're serious or joking.

That Die Hard, as a movie, has lots of scary people and lots of guns in it. I'm happy to let it be whatever kind of movie it wants to be. :)

Dude, I still don't consider it a christmas song. If they ever play it for christmas its only a butchered version. The oratorio tells the whole story of christ not just his birth. So, its an easter song.
