I'm going to have to try the demo, the only problem I ever had with the Devil May Cry series, and I'm not knocking it, is that the gameplay just never felt intuitive enough. It seems like you have to work too hard to get Dante to do what you want him too. I've beaten DMC 1 and 3, but never was motivated to tackle the higher difficulties or go for S ranks because of that very reason. The NG games, flawed though they may be, control a bit better. It's easier to get Ryu to bust out some badass moves when you're not fighting the bad camera and hit and miss targeting system
Apparently, Hideka was only involved with the first DMC, so I was starting to hope that maybe he'd bring a new spin to this and not have it feel too much like DMC.
