I'd really be shocked if it turns out to be a joystick system. The way the kids are holding the input device suggests a controller, and the hairstyles suggest no later than 92.

Yeah, but they also lack some of the scruffiness of the late 70s, early 80s, so I'm thinking mid to late 80s.
