Girlfriend left me for my best friend after four years

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

What do you mean? We solved his problem with Final Fantasy VI*.

*Though, to be fair, I did not contribute to the winning suggestion.
That's right.

It was me! Me, me, me, me, me, me, me! :P Although to be fair, a dozen other people gave the exact same suggestion with similar games and/or books. FFVI (or Lunar SS) are my personal choices for times like this.

If I've learned anything, it is that FFVI is a cure all.

And now comes the part where we talk about what we learned.

I learned that after the U.S Civil War, about 33%-50% of all U.S. paper currency in circulation was counterfeit, it is illegal for a person to kiss another on railways in France, and that Florida has twice as many lightning injuries and deaths than any other state.

+1

I'm also personally offended.
it is kinda bogus to make those generalizations. my divorce can largely be attributed to my wife's infidelity, but my parents' divorce can largely be attributed to my dad's. so there you go.

I think you're in for a rough ride...
I just joined the forums, so what, I can't say my opinion on this? As a minority in this forum, I thought I should stick up for my gender!

He must just hang out with a bunch of loose skanks. That's all I can come up with.
I'm not "reeeeally" offended here Luke, but thanks. Actually, I am here to waste my time and since someone has given me the chance for a debate I take him on :P

I thought of giving advice here but it is an old post and the guy already posted that he is doing better. Nothing is worse that the first month after breaking up whatever the circumstances are, but in the end you need to find yourself on your own.

I hear variation of the term "finding oneself" all the time, but have no idea what it means. What does it mean?

You're free to your opinion, of course! You said you were taking it personally, so I was just trying to give you some friendly advice (apologies if I didn't come off as friendly). Looks like you're fine though, so I'll stop harassing you for now. :)
