But we all know the correct way is to plug two USB joysticks into your PC and fire up the MAME copy.Ack wrote:You can play whichever version you like, despite whatever dsheinem tells you. Part of the reason we pick the games we do is so people have access to them. There's no specific "correct" copy to pick up, and it makes it more interesting to compare and contrast the different versions.

I'm enjoying Smash TV this month-great memories
However, I saw mention of Broken Sword for Dec. Now that's one I've NEVER played-but would like to.....just need to find a PC copy that plays on XP or Vista-Is that easy???
I do hope so

Broken Sword plays swimmingly on XP, Vista, 7, and most anything that supports ScummVM.
Re: Upcoming Together Retro Calendar
Hey, thanks for that
Good old ScummVM - I had that on an old laptop.
Will have to reboot and get ready for BS. As I said a game I've always meant to play - but never actually got round to - so will be all 100% fresh
Looking forward to it

Re: Upcoming Together Retro Calendar
Ive got no excuse other than a recent Battlestar addiction:
Jan - Battletoads
Feb - Jackal
Mar - Phantasy Star (tentative)
If anyone has issue with them, youve got a couple days before I update the first post and set them in stone.

Re: Upcoming Together Retro Calendar
Battletoads makes me happy. Phantasy Star is a super awesome surprise. I probably won't participate in Jackal. But like I said, I'm happy to see Phantasy in there as an RPG will make for some good variety. We need a shmup or another 2D fighter soon, though!
